The Strange Parade is one of Colorado's premier tribute bands, dedicated to the authentic revival of The Doors. The sounds lovingly replicate the instrumentation and tone of the original group. The Gibson G101 organ tones of Ray Manzarek's distinct right hand were sampled from the true instrument, and a Fender Rhodes Piano Bass fills in the bottom end. Committed to the simple, live direction of the original group, The Strange Parade is not your usual cover band—there is no script, the musicians don't refer to each other as Jim or Ray, and no one ever wears a wig.
