About Us
The Georges started in 2008 after Jason George's family band switched styles to perform music that people from around the world could dance to. By 2010 their high energy mix of musical styles and energetic performances led to a strong following in Central Texas. In October of 2010, legendary dance hall Gruene Hall gave The Georges a residency that has lasted for sixteen years of two to three Wednesdays a month. The band also holds a residency at The Devil's Backbone the first Saturday of every month. The Georges are a rip-roarin' Roots Rockabilly band that rocks dance halls the world over, blending country and roots rock influences with a heavy dash of pop music and a chemical helping of British Invasion jangle. The band features co-founder and former Two Tons of Steel lead guitarist Dennis Fallon, former Two Tons drummer Chris Dodds, and Vance Hazen on upright bass. In 2019, The Georges released their album Los Jorges, produced by Pat Manske and recorded at legendary studio The Zone in Dripping Springs, TX.
