BIO - Lea Lolita Sweet, native of San Francisco, Nine-Time BAMMY nominee, singer-songwriter and producer is known for her ability to sing and produce Pop, Rock, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Spoken Word and Country music. The nine-time BAMMY nominee and four-time BAMMY winner has created a new fusion of rock and roll with soul on her upcoming CD “Satisfaction” which includes remixes of The Rolling Stone and James Brown the God Father of Soul. "Her voice is raw and has the edge of Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin - her music is original - outside the box like Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers & Lenny Kravitz," said Promoter Scott Hugger. Lea received Best New Country Artist, Best Jazz, Best Neo-Soul, and Best Album and nominated for Entertainer of the year by the American Academy Association of Music and the Bay Area Music Awards.

The singer-songwriter, who has performed all over the US and internationally and shared the stage with such musical legends as Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Jimi Jamison (Survivor), "Loverboy" Mike Reno, Bobbie Kimball (Toto), Leroy Emmanuel (LMT Connection), Bobby Kimball from Toto, Dwele, Case, Zapp Band, Lenny Williams, George Duke, Peabo Bryson, Jeffrey Osborne, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Tony Toni Tone and more. One of 12 siblings, Lea was born a humming bird and began writing poetry at age 9. Grammy Nominated Trombonist Wayne Wallace taught her how to take her poetry and transition it to song writing at age 21.
Lea's early influences include Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Minnie Riperton. Kenneth Carpenter, Putnam Jaguar, "her voice is soothing & rhythmic that covers all grounds." After selling $10,000 CD’s out of her trunk, being the first independent artist to sale out at world famous Yoshi’s jazz Club in San Francisco, and touring in China and Austria, Lea learned her soul was no stranger to music. She attended a family reunion in 2011 and while seating on a porch in Macon, GA she learned her musical family roots. Lea’s Father, uncles, Little Richard, James Brown and Otis Redding all grew up together rehearsing in her grandmother’s house in Macon, GA and performed in her backyard in the entertainment tent. Now Lea and Recording Artist Ciara is part of that historical family tree. Lea created a new fusion of Rock and Soul on her CD “Satisfaction” which is edgy and outside the box. Lea created a new fusion of country and soul on her last CD “I WILL.” Lea’s injection of “flava” to cross over country music recorded in Nashville, TN. This CD earned Best New Country Artist and Best Album.
